COLD

2008/01/30

There’s not really been a whole lot of news this week in my world. I’m feeling a lot healthier now, but that’s pretty much it.  I’m not thrilled about the weather, but that’s not surprising.  I was really hoping to stay at or around 50 deg F for at least a couple of days.

In the cool stuff department, check out this article.  The HUD maybe be closer than we think.

Big Butter and Birds

2008/01/21

YEAH TOAST!! Heywood Banks was at the Buskirk-Chumley Saturday for a sold out show and was amazing as usual. It was definitely worth the 7 year wait to see him again. I picked up a copy of “Big Butter”, had it signed, and ended up giving my Sharpie to him in the process.

I got a chance to try out the new Songbird media player yesterday. It’s still lacking some features, but it’s really showing a lot of promise.  It’s built on Mozilla’s platform, so the extensions can be downloaded to customize it. Even though it says it’s a “Developer Version” don’t be afraid to download it and give it a spin. Do remember it’s not even to ver.1.0 yet, so don’t slam it too badly if it’s missing something you think it should have (though it’s impressive for ver.0.4).
